Gyroplane Sport Pilot Add-on

An FAA pilot adding a sport pilot category and class rating (14 CFR 61.321) may operate a gyroplane after receiving training from a qualified gyroplane CFI on all the items listed in 14 CFR 61.309 and 14 CFR 61.311. Most pilots can complete this add-on category/class training in 10- 15 flight hours.

Gyroplane Sport Pilot CFI Add-on

You have to be a gyroplane pilot and a CFI in different category and class to be able to add a sport pilot gyroplane CFI. You must receive and log ground and flight training from an authorized instructor who trained you on the applicable areas of operation specifed CFR 61.409.

Gyroplane Sport Pilot Initial

To earn your sport pilot gyroplane rating (initial), you need to meet the requirements from Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 61 Subpart J. The majority of the student pitots will obtain the certificate between 25 to 30 hours

ELA (Eclipse, Cougar 07S, Scorpion), Autogyro (Cavalon, MTO Sport, MTO2017, Calidus), Brako (Sprint, Brako GT, Skyblazer 1), American Ranger AR1 (open, canopy), Magni (M24, M22, M16), Polish Gyroplanes (Argon 915is, AG915is, Tercel, Taurus, Xenon RST, Xenon)

Gyroplane Sport Pilot CFI Initial

To earn your sport pilot gyroplane CFI initial, you need to meet the requirements from Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 61 Subpart K for the rating.

Flight Review

The flight review required by Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) 61.56 6 is to provide for a regular evaluation of pilot skills and aeronautical knowledge.

Gyroplane Private Pilot

To earn a gyroplane private pilot certificate, the student pilot needs to follow the requirements from the Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) Subpart E.

Private Pilot Add-on

Pilots will not be required to take an additional written exam. The training specified as must do in FAR AIM to accomplish the Additional Gyroplane Aircraft Category rating.

Gyroplane Commercial Initial

To earn a gyroplane commercial pilot certificate, the pilot needs to follow the requirements from the Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) Subpart F.

Gyroplane Commercial Add-on

Pilots will not be required to take an additional written exam. The training specified as must do in FAR AIM 61.109 to accomplish the Additional Gyroplane Aircraft Category rating from FAR AIM 61.63.

Gyroplane CFI SubPart H initial

To earn your gyroplane CFI initial Subpart H, you need to meet the requirements from Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 61 Subpart H for the rating.

$230 per engine hour tandem.

Gyroplane Introductory Flight Lesson

$110/$130 per engine 20-min/30-min, tandem
$130 per engine 1/2 hour, sd by sd

Gyroplane Ground Instruction

$55 per hour.
One-to-one ground instruction, related to the pursuit of a flight certificate

Gyroplane Flight Instruction, in your aircraft

$110/130 tandem/sd by sd per engine hour.
Instructor's Flight time, pre flight and post flight briefing specific to the flight.
